ALL BEGAN

WHERE IT

KCL officially began on 23 June 2022, but the real story started earlier in the middle drawer of Jitze Jongsma’s desk. Inside was an Omega Genève Dynamic and a note with Kelvin’s name on it. One watch, one family story and the beginning of everything that followed.

That moment shaped the way we look at watches today. Not simply as objects, but as pieces of someone’s life, ready to carry a new story on a new wrist.

STARTED IT ALL

THE WATCH THAT

I had never seen this Omega before. After my grandfather Jitze passed away, I found it in the middle drawer of his desk, together with a small note carrying my name. I did not even know the watch existed.

My grandfather had worn it during his years working as a carpenter aboard a naval ship. It travelled with him, worked with him and somehow even became part of a rather unbelievable story involving a homemade fishing rod and a hammerhead shark.

I will never sell this watch. After I photographed it and shared the images online, Omega contacted me and sent a presentation box and passport for it. That moment only made me more curious about the history behind watches.

For me, this Omega became proof that a watch can hold far more than time. It can carry a person, a place and a story into the next generation.

PERSONAL FROM THE START

WHY KCL FEELS DIFFERENT

Buying a watch should never feel like walking into a sales pitch. At KCL, you are just as welcome to stop by for a coffee, talk watches and leave without buying anything. Some of our best client relationships started with nothing more than a good conversation.

We want to know the person behind the wrist what you like, what you already own and what a watch should mean to you. That way, when the right piece comes along, we already know who might appreciate it.

No pressure. No stiff sales talk. Just good watches, good coffee and conversations worth having.

COME SAY HELLO

My grandfather never taught me how to sell a watch. He gave me something better: a reason to care about the person and the story behind it. The Omega he left me became the beginning of KCL, and it still reminds me why a watch can mean far more than its price.

SMALL TEAM

BUILT BY A

KCL is deliberately small. We want clients to know who they are speaking with, whether the conversation begins over WhatsApp, Instagram, a coffee or a drink. That personal contact allows us to understand what someone is really looking for instead of simply offering the next available watch.

Kelvin founded KCL at eighteen and Kas joined in June 2026. Together, they source, present and sell vintage and pre-owned watches with honesty, energy and a clear preference for quality over quantity.

We take watches seriously. Ourselves a little less.

KELVIN JONGSMA — FOUNDER & OWNER SINCE 2022

Kelvin leads KCL, from selecting watches and sharing their stories to client conversations and the final handover. Certified by Breitling, TAG Heuer and Longines, and a TAG Heuer ambassador, he is rarely short on enthusiasm especially when someone mentions vintage watches.

KAS WOUWENAAR — PARTNER & SALES SINCE 2026

Kas focuses on finding watches, meeting new owners and creating opportunities for Sell With KCL. His drive, curiosity and approachable style help broaden the collection, while keeping every conversation personal, straightforward and unmistakably KCL.

JENTE VAN DER WAL

Endurance Athlete — KCL Ambassador

From marathon kilometres to HYROX and whatever ridiculous physical challenge comes next, Jente rarely chooses the easy route. His drive, discipline and appetite for pushing limits make him a natural fit for KCL because the best stories usually take a little effort.

RICK DE VRIES

Rickstreamt — KCL Ambassador

Rick built his community around games, good conversations and, above all, having a laugh. One moment it is complete chaos, the next it is a conversation that actually means something. That mix of humour, openness and personality is exactly why Rick fits KCL.

What I admire most is how every watch has a story. Kelvin always visits me first to share its history and show me his latest finds. His passion, perseverance, and respect for every timepiece make me incredibly proud.
